Up Start Here Pre-Generated Character Celtic People

The Celts, once the rulers of the world, now stand on the brink of extinction as they are subdued by the growing Empire of Odun Ur. The Celtic gods, wishing to protect their charges, have chosen one person to undertake a quest. If the quest succeeds, the Celtic nation will have the chance to rise once again, but if it fails... the Celtic people will disappear into the lorebooks of history.

This is a solo AD&D adventure running off 2nd edition rules. The primary character is pre-generated but there are some things that have not been determined yet (name, sex, background, etc...). The game will be using the players options and some kits are allowed.

Game Mechanics

There will be a minimum of three moves per week. ICQ sessions are also a possibility.
All rolls (combat and otherwise) will be done by me.
In combat situations, you will be required to announce your fighting style, you will be given the opportunity to change your combat style once every three rounds or when a situation arises that is threatening to the PC.
Critical hits, based upon the Combat Players Options, are in effect.

If you wish to be part of the adventure...

Look over the Pre-Generated Character
Go to the Celtic Culture Section and complete the work in "Making a Celtic Character"
Review the other information on Celtic culture, society, and religion (I spent at least five months compiling and setting up that section, it would be a shame if it went to waste).
Send me your completed work before February 7th in order to be eligible for consideration.  Send the work to [email protected]

What I will be looking for...

I will be scoring each submission and the one with the highest score will be chosen, in case of a tie I will be making an arbitrary decision on the one I like the most.

Here are the points that can be earned:

Choose Background Event: 1
Write Background: 10 (This score will be based upon how well you have incorporated the characters past, culture, description of the powerful enemy of the character, and current events).

As a side note, I am using Core Rules 2 and if you are in need of the basic books and tools for AD&D I would recommend that you pick up this product. If you lack the resources or do not have access to a copy of the Players Options books or any other AD&D books you will be provided a web-based resource when your submission is accepted.  Any maps I make for the game are only viewable using the Core Rules 2 Product.
